A solid one piece steel frame constructed of a 1018 billet steel block. Each pair of frames starts as an 18 POUND block of 1018 steel! (Each individual frame starts as 9lbs of high quality US STEEL!) With over 6 hours of CNC machining per frame and over $2 million in CNC equipment dedicated to the MX handgun product line the MXI pistol is the result of family owned and operated care quality and values with the best machining technologies and capabilities available.
Due to the MX recoil reducing buffer(patent pending) and billet 1018 steel weight the MXI is one of the lowest recoiling and flattest shooting pistols in the world!
Each MXI is hand crafted including a custom hand stippled grip, custom hand buffing and/or polishing of all external and internal parts for best fitment possible.
All pistols custom built by one of two Matrix Arms Armorer’s ensures the highest level of quality and allows us to custom build each handgun to have the tightest tolerances and best accuracy possible.
Designed specifically for competition and coming in just under 40oz the MXI is intended for use in all major pistol categories including production/carry optics, limited, and open.

The MXI is built entirely off of the MX19 platform and is the 2nd pistol of the MX handgun series, it features the same MX19 1911 grip angle and all major components manufactured in “Live Free or Die” New Hampshire USA at the Matrix Arms headquarters.
The MXI’s all steel frame allows for much less flex and distortion during shooting than polymer frames.
This allows for the most precise tolerances possible to be held without binding up during the recoil cycle.
Flat front and rear grip surfaces with diamond texture and stippled grip ensures no movement throughout your grip squeeze in even the most high pressure scenario’s.
