Winchester has shown off their latest battle rifle cartridge with the M1 Garand ammo chambered in 30-06 which has been loaded to a lower pressure with a 150gr bullet to aid in functionality of the M1 Garand Rifle.
Winchester states “Winchester M1 Garand is a 30-06 cartridge loaded to the original specifications of M2 ball, the ammunition for which the M1 Garand was designed.
Winchester continues its legendary excellence with this load recipe that closely replicates the pressure and velocity of the original Ball M2 cartridge.
This ammunition is recommended for use in legacy M1 Garand rifles to reduce the risk of damage to the operating rod.”
