Davidson’s has recently teamed up with Riton Optics in a Ruger MArk IV 22/45 Lite pistol exclusive featuring the Riton Optic actix MPRD 2 red dot.

Davidson’s states “The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite needs no introduction. We at Davidson’s have done several Exclusives utilizing this rimfire pistol from Ruger.

Standard features such as anodized color, threaded barrels, 1911 angle grip frame, 1911?style grip panels, and one?button tool?less takedown have made this 22LR pistol a fun project on many of our Exclusives.

These particular models boast a 4.4″, 1/2?28 threaded barrel, ambidextrous manual safety, and a red or purple anodized aluminum upper with custom ventilation cuts.

For the first time, however, we’ve added a red dot sight to the pistol and removed standard iron sights.

Red dot optics, obviously, have exploded in popularity on handguns so why not make one available on the Mark IV 22/45 Lite? But let’s take that a couple of steps further.

Riton makes excellent optics and we’ve carried them for several years now. The 3Tactix MPRD 2 is certainly considered one of their premium offerings.

The 3Tactix MPRD 2 is an extremely compact and versatile pistol red dot with shake awake, auto brightness, and auto off.

It comes with a 3 MOA dot that will ensure ultimate precision and rapid target acquisition. The 3Tactix MPRD 2 from Riton Optics has an MSRP of $349.99.

While designed with a Shield footprint, we thought we’d do something a little bit different.

In order to achieve the clean, sleek, uncluttered look (and fast dot acquisition) that we wanted, we removed the iron sights, removed any rails, and worked with Ruger to have an engineered and machined custom mount for the 3TMPRD2.

We think the result speaks for itself.”
