Earlier this year Energetic Armament announced their new ARX centerfire 5.56 silencer a few months later Energetic Arms is finally rolling it out to distributors but with some new updates and features.
Energetic Armament states ” Since originally making the ARX announcement we have been working on a few additional improvements.
The ARX now features Stellite 21 Cobalt-Chromium alloy. This alloy provides even better high temperature hot gas erosion protection for the silencer bore.
Additionally we have improved the leading edge geometry to further enhance sound attenuation.
Finally we strengthened the blast baffle to handle higher volumes of fire and higher heat loads.
During extended testing at extreme continuous FA conditions we saw a potential limitation for the original blast baffle design.
Good enough for most wasn’t good enough for us so we carefully redesigned the baffle and requalified the new design to ensure it met our expectations.
The redesign of the baffle and the liners did add 0.85oz of weight but the ARX still represents best-in-class lightweight with even better performance now.
