Tactical outfitters states “Marigolds were originally called Mary’s Gold.

Named after the Virgin Mary, they are known as a cempasuchitl – flower of the dead – in Mexico.

Marigolds are essential in the celebration of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

With this patch we pay tribute to those who have gone on to the great unknown.”
