Meridian Defense Corp has recently announced their new Alpha series of Ak100 pattern pistols chambered in 7.62×39, 5.56×45, and 5.45×39.
Meridian Defense states “The Alpha is the modern AK100 variant of the AK full-sized fighting rifle with a tuned gas system for much better recoil control and accuracy.
This gun represents the closest thing to a special operations AK platform available outside of Russia.
The ALPHA has our custom 12.5-inch Black Nitride barrel. For the front end, we use the Russian-issued Zenitco handguard, gas tube cover & railed top cover.
The Receiver cover is a hinged design that gives easy access to the internals without needing to remove the optic.
This is also well known for keeping optics zeroed, which has been a challenge with other railed top covers.
Our version of the ALPHA is one of a kind and tailored specifically for ALPHA operatives in non-permissive environments.”
