Ripcord Industries has announced their latest offering for the AR-15/M4 pattern with the new LDR1 rail series.
Ripcord Industries states “We designed the LDR1 to be a stable and rigid platform for end users who mount items such as iron sights, lasers and bipods to their rail.
We wanted to ensure lasers did not lose zero due to the rail shifting or bending.
By removing unnecessary MLOK slots in specific locations, we were able to provide added strength, lengthwise, to the rail. The LDR1 also features a longer steel barrel nut for a rock solid foundation.
Our anti-rotation wings, indexing pin and tight interface between the LDR1 and its barrel nut, ensure it won’t shift over time.”

Looks like if Midwest Industries tried to make a Geissele MK8.
yea a bit for sure! prob best of both worlds. The rail seems to be super rigid.
The Ripcord Ind. LDR1 handguard is the best design I have seen in a Handguard yet very practical with the center of the rail being closed I would like to see them make one with less MLok and a split top version. They are a bit pricy though but what can you do when you are a poor like me. Hey Ripcord Inc. If you need someone to do a review on one of your 15″ LDR1’s I would be happy to oblige since it is out of my price range maybe I could earn one
