The RD901 rifle is based in the KR9 platform from Kalashnikov USA.
Rifle Dyanmics states ” The RD901 mimics the feel, handling, and manual of arms of its 7.62×39 bigger brother the RD701.
The 9×19 is great for indoor ranges and shoot houses and with minimal flash, felt recoil, and concussion is great for training, competition and teaching new shooters.”
