JP Enterprises has recently debuted their latest offering in barrels in support of the 22lr cartridge with the new ultralight .22lr barrel.
The .22LR Ultralight Shrouded barrel was designed to be the lightest barrel on the market and made specifically for competition style shooting.
JP Enterprises states “A necessary component for your competition rimfire rifle, the JP .22 LR Ultralight Barrel is a 5.5″ steel barrel extended to an ATF-legal 16” thanks to a light-weight aluminum shroud.
Weighing in at more than 10 oz. less than a comparable 16″ barrel, this barrel also places most of the weight close to the receiver.
This translates to lightning-fast transitions and a more satisfying competition performance.
Manufactured to our exacting specifications and used in all of our rifles, the JP Supermatch™ steel barrel is turned from 416R stainless steel, lead lapped and air-gauged.
This design also incorporates a cleaning port to allow easier access to the barrel muzzle.
The cover for this port is removable to avoid interference with any Mil-Spec sized barrel nut.”
