Midwest Industries has shown massive aftermarket support for Ruger’s PC carbine and has recently unveiled a new prototype adapter that uses what is starting to become pretty standard picatinny rail to attach stock such as offerings from Sig Sauer.
Midwest Industries also notes that this stock adapter will also still allow for full access to the bolt handle while the stock is folded.
So how does this measure up to the new ATF letter that says you have to get overall length with it collapsed?
ATF vasilates so often that I care little about them now. I simply consult my local Sheriff. He could care less as well.
That Midwest chassis with the pic rail folding pivot, combined with Sigs’ sturdy looking buttstock, makes this little rig a dandy looking home-to-hood self defense tool. The barrel Ruger put on these carbines is a perfect, fluted, flat black, tac-style target nailer. How could ya go wrong with a handy, small caliber, tactical defense carbine with Midwest modifications like this one has ? Might have to try really hard.
