Ruger Announced an update to their Ruger Precision line of rifles with the support of two new calibers, 338 lapua and 300 winmag. Both, the 338 Lapua Ruger precision rifle (model 18080) and the 300 Win Mag Ruger Precision Rifle (Model 18081) both sport some key features that makes Ruger’s Precision Rifle line stand out.
The 338 Lapua Ruger Precision rifle and the 300 Win Mag Ruger Precision rifle both sport 4140 chrome-moly steel, cold hammer forged barrels with 5R rifling, and minimum headspace and centralized chambering. The new 338 Lapua Ruger Precision rifle and the 300 Win Mag Ruger Precision rifle also come standard with a Ruger MARksman Adjustable trigger which is adjustable with a pull weight range of 2.25 to 5 pounds.
The 4140 chrome-moly barrel features a heavy-contour barrel and comes with a Ruger Precision Magnum muzzle brake with tunable compensator. The 338 Lapua Ruger Precision rifle and the 300 Win Mag Ruger Precision rifle also sport 18″ free-float hand guards made of aluminum and hard-coat anodized and sporting MLOK slots at all four sides to improve scope clearance and ease of mounting.
