Ruger announced the launch of their AR-556 MPR AR-15 platformed rifle chambered in the increasingly popular 450 bushmaster.
Ruger’s Model 8522 450 Bushmaster sports a Magpul MOE grip and MOE SL collapsible buttstock.
The ultra slim handguard is 15 inches long sporting MLOK sockets and designed to be extremely light weight.
The AR-556 450 Bushmaster has a 18.63 inch cold hammer forged barrel with a 1:16RH twist rate.
The upper and lower receiver are forged aluminum and type III hardcoat anodized.
The Internals have been beefed up a bit with a what Ruger is calling a ” high strength super alloy” bolt that is 50 percent stronger than the traditional MSR bolt material.
The Bolt has also been engineered with tapered lugs to support the larger 450 Bushmaster case head.
Ruger’s AR-556 MPR 450 Bushmaster also sports an in house Ruger Elite 452 AR-15 platformed two-stage trigger, carbine length gas system and a chrome-plated bolt carrier.
The AR-556 450 Bushmaster comes with one five round magazine. MSRP of $1099.00
