Smith Tactics rolled out their latest innovation the Lighting Bolt Release for the AR-15 platform.
The purpose of Smith Tactic’s Lighting Bolt-Release is to reduce reload and re-acquisitioning target time by automatically returning the bolt to battery after a fresh magazine has been inserted into the magazine well.
Smith Tactics states the Lighting Bolt-Release will NOT release the bolt or change your rifle’s condition upon inserting an empty magazine.
The LBR also will NOT prevent the bolt to lock back upon firing the last round in the magazine.
Smith Tactics has tested the LBR in the vast majority of magazines currently available on the market without issue. The LBR is design to fit all MIL-SPEC lower receivers.
