Overview:

Palletize and close work orders for shipping. Prepare boxes for shipment and places in appropriate location for subsequent pick up by shipping services. Perform final inspection and packaging of orders as necessary.

Responsibilities:

* Read order for address and shipping instructions and verify address and preferred shipping instructions, after unit is placed on scale
* Accurately pull, pack and ship products on customer orders
* Scan all part number barcodes into Insight system for internal order/product tracking
* Maintain and verify accuracy of each order and corrects discrepancies as needed
* Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance to the 6S checklist
* Observe all safety regulations and procedures of the facility
* Perform other assignments as directed by source of supervision
* Stock work cells when all shipping tasks are complete
* Properly restock items in a timely and accurate fashion to maintain accurate inventory control
* Schedule LTL truck pickup and obtain and maintain HAZMAT certification as needed
* Obtain and maintain EPA certification
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* One (1) to three (3) years experience working in a warehouse setting
* Computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel
* Experience with Internet usage and e-mail
* High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
* No college degree is required for this position but would be helpful in the advancement opportunity
* High level of motivation and efficiency
* Strong work ethic
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work as a team member
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
* Ability to write simple correspondence/instructions
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
* Ability to use Excel spreadsheets
* Ability to recognize special instructions for customer orders
* Ability to be the Quality Control for customer orders before they are shipped
* Ability to contact proper personnel if any questions arise with customer orders
* Review open order backlog for shippable orders
