Flir Systems announced the roll out of their Recon V ultralite thermal imager designed for military and law enforcement personnel in the field. The Recon V Ultralite thermal imager is the latest version of Flir’s Recon series of thermal monoculars. The Recon V ultralite weighs less than three pounds making it two and half pounds lighter that its previous versions. The Recon V ultralite thermal imager allows for high resolution color images during the day and heat signature day or night, long range detection, recognition, recoding, and geo-location data. Another great feature of this thermal imager is it is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and Android Tactical Assault kit ( ATAK) network capabilities. The Recon V can be purchased directly from FLIR, restricted to military and law enforcement sales.
