According to Russian Media the Russian military will be replacing the AK-74M with the AK-12 and AK-15. Both Rifles will be standard issue.
The AK-12 chambered in 5.45x39mm and the AK-12 7.62x39mm rifles have been approved by the Russian military to be used in Infantry, Naval troops, and Russian Airborne troops.
The AK-12 and AK-15 will come with standard 30 round magazines, a red dot optic and night and IR illuminators.
Also coming standard issue will be a grenade launcher, forward vertical grip, lasers and flashlights.
Some models will also come with a quick-attach suppressor.
